Swedish Hedge Funds
Here, a list of hedge fund in the Swedish market is listed. For each
listing there will be narrative text as well as some comments on the
style. Managers are listed by their respective strategies.
Long / Short Equity Managers
This is by far the largest group of managers active in the Swedish
market place.
HealthInvest Global Long/Short Fund
A fund set up in the end of 2006 with one former Long only manager
(Anders Hallberg) and one Analyst (Markus Wistrand) with industry

market is yet unknown.
Fixed Income (Arbitrage)
This are relatively few fixed income manager in the Swedish arena,
partly because of the 'underdevelopment' of the Swedish Fixed Income
Market that lacks the complexity that for instance the US market
exhibits.
Latitude
Latitude was a directional, discretionary, fixed income focus fund
that before the closure was closed down in August 2006 following weak

Energy Funds
A number of Swedish hedge funds trading in Energy and related markets
are currently active on Nordpool, the Nordic energy markets. Several
trade in other energy markets and in weather related markets.
AlfaKraft
AlfaKraft manages two energy related funds, one pure energy fund that
seems to be pretty volatile, in both up and down months. 2006 seems to
be a difficult year for the fund, in contrast to the previous pretty
good years. They are also managing a recently launched CO2 fund, with so

Markedskraft
See Norwegian hedge funds, the fund is domiciled in Norway but have
an Swedish branch office.
Shepherd
Shepherd manages an energy fund since 2004 while they are also
providing an advisory service for third parties. The manage the Shepherd
Energy Fund, a global energy fund as well as offering discretionary
management. After suffering from a adverse market environment, the fund
has so far, November 2006, delivered returns in line with the risk free
